Drink your tea
One of our kids favorite things to do when driving in the car is to listen to the CD which has birds of Wisconsin and some of their songs. Some of the birds have little phrases that they use to help you remember and identify their song. Last week when we were outside, Fischer said he heard a bird singing "Drink your tea." My ears missed it. I had to listen to the CD to find out which bird it was. It turns out it was an Eastern Towhee. I've never seen one before, but they look very similar to a robin. They return to Wisconsin in the spring. This was my inspiration for this piece, just perfect for The Three Muses challenge this week. I love birds and I love tea, what a perfect combo.

delightful!!!!!!!
Very creative & fun take on 'tea,' Tammy!
I'll have to listen to birdsong more often! What a sweet piece! Hugs, Terri
I love this. I have listened to those bird tapes also. Great page!
I love birds too...this is really cute! I never heard that bird's call before...neat inspiration!
wonderful creative collage!
Very nice art work. Beautiful. And great story.
This is so sweet and I love the story behind it!
How great God sent us a bird to remind us to take time for tea! Your art is charming, and the story makes it more so. Now that I think of it, I think I've heard the call of the cowhee, and just didn't speak the language!
This is gorgeous and such fun it made me smile, and then I read the story and inspiration behind it and that made it perfect.
Wonderful collage, great spring feeling.
What a fun and creative piece.

Wonderful!!
Your collage is delightful and the story behind it is really wonderful! So Tweet! ;)
It brings back the nicest memories of our youngest son, now in college. He was a bird fancier and enjoyed listening to bird tapes too!
I most likely will never see an Eastern Towhee here in N VA, but I will keep an ear out.
Happy Springtime to you and yours!

This is a perfect combination! We have a spring bird, I think it is a chickadee, that sings in the morning and it sounds like he is saying 'cheeeese burger.' Cheers!
I love the story behind your superb artwork! What a wonderful inspiration for this week's theme. Your birds are exquisite and the picture is perfect in every way. I love the brilliant colour of the birds and the wood texture behind them.
A standing ovation from me!
A fabulous story and a fabulous piece! Just great - a really creative spin on the theme. Love it! ~Sharon
