Here are my finished quilt squares for the Harvest Parade. It feels so good to be finished with these and not have them looming over my head anymore! The next step is to meet up with the ladies and put all of our pieces together and finish it up. I can't wait to see what everyone else's look like.
I really had a hard time getting motivated to do this. The whole time I was doing this, I kept thinking how I couldn't wait to finish so I could start a new painting. Sewing kind of felt like a chore to me and I was very happy when I was able to tuck my sewing machine away. I enjoy drawing and painting so much now, that it is all I want to do. I almost feel a little obsessed about it! I guess that's a good thing right?
Now that my sewing machine is put away, I've got my pencil in hand, drawing up cute little crickets. This will be my last insect painting for awhile, unless of course I do some butterflies, but they don't really count.
Have a wonderful weekend. Can you believe it's the last one of August already!

Love the square with the six houses! Have you been doing lots of canning? Haven't seen any photos this year of all those beautiful impressive jars of vegetables!!
Looks great! I love your houses.
Love your houses. Really cute.
Hi Tammy, I haven't quite figured out how and where to respond on comments left on my blog, so I just cam here to thank you for visiting my blog and for your encouraging words. And- I also love your delightful little houses.
Thanks everyone. Janet, I did so much canning last year that I still have some left over. Our family doesn't eat a lot of jam so I haven't done as much. I still have to can some soup, tomatoes, and pork and beans.
Your house blocks are great! I'm inspired to try making some!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.
